The Atelier des Lumières and its Immersive Art Festival
The Atelier des Lumières is one of the newest museums in Paris. Dedicated to digital art, it uses the latest multimedia technology to present monumental immersive exhibitions within the beautiful spaces of the old foundry building the museum occupies. Colours, details and brush strokes surround you and, enchanted by the light show and carefully chosen music, you will feel you have stepped right into the paintings displayed. The work of Van Gogh is currently receiving the Atelier des Lumières treatment in an exhibition running until December 31st, 2019. From October 18th to 24th, 2019, the museum is also hosting a festival entirely devoted to immersive digital design.
Stepping into the picture
Eleven artistic collectives will compete at the Immersive Art Festival at the Atelier des Lumières. In the evening, they will present work specially created for the spaces of the Atelier, designed to bring visitors into their visual and aural universe in a true sensory experience. At the end, you can vote for your favourite work and your feedback will be added to that of the professional jury in their search for the most outstanding collective in the competition.
